|
|

|
|
<p><span class="verse" id="1">1 </span>Dies ist das Wort des HERRN, das zum Propheten Jeremia geschah wider die Philister, ehe der Pharao Gaza schlug.
|
|
<br /><span class="verse" id="2">2 </span>So spricht der HERR: Siehe, es kommen Wasser heran von Norden, die zum reißenden Strom werden und das Land überfluten und was darin ist, die Städte und die darin wohnen, daß die Leute schreien und alle Einwohner im Lande heulen.
|
|
<br /><span class="verse" id="3">3 </span>Vor dem Stampfen ihrer starken Rosse, die dahertraben, und vor dem Rasseln ihrer Wagen und dem Poltern ihrer Räder werden sich die Väter nicht umsehen nach den Kindern, so verzagt werden sie sein
|
|
<br /><span class="verse" id="4">4 </span>über den Tag, der da kommt, um zu verderben alle Philister und auszurotten die letzten Helfer für Tyrus und Sidon. Denn der HERR wird die Philister verderben, den Rest derer, die gekommen sind von der Insel Kaphtor.
|
|
<br /><span class="verse" id="5">5 </span>Über Gaza wird Trauer kommen, und Askalon wird vernichtet, der Rest der Enakiter. Wie lange willst du dich wund ritzen?
|
|
<br /><span class="verse" id="6">6 </span>O du Schwert des HERRN, wann willst du doch aufhören? Fahre in deine Scheide und ruhe und sei still!
|
|
<br /><span class="verse" id="7">7 </span>Aber wie kann es aufhören, da doch der HERR ihm Befehl gegeben hat wider Askalon und es wider das Ufer des Meeres bestellt hat? </p> <!--... sharper than any twoedged sword... -->
