<p><span class="verse" id="1">1 </span>Dies ist die Last für Moab: Des Nachts kommt Verheerung über Ar in Moab, es ist dahin; des Nachts kommt Verheerung über Kir in Moab, es ist dahin!
|
|||
|
|
<br /><span class="verse" id="2">2 </span>Es geht hinauf die Tochter Dibon zu den Altären, um zu weinen; Moab heult über Nebo und über Medeba. Jedes Haupt ist kahlgeschoren, jeder Bart ist abgeschnitten.
|
|||
|
|
<br /><span class="verse" id="3">3 </span>Auf ihren Gassen gehen sie mit dem Sack umgürtet, auf ihren Dächern und Straßen heulen sie alle und gehen weinend einher.
|
|||
|
|
<br /><span class="verse" id="4">4 </span>Hesbon und Elale schreien, daß man's zu Jahza hört. Darum wehklagen die Gerüsteten Moabs, es verzagt ihre Seele.
|
|||
|
|
<br /><span class="verse" id="5">5 </span>Mein Herz schreit über Moab; seine Flüchtigen fliehen bis nach Zoar, bis Eglath-Schelischija. Denn sie gehen die Steige von Luhith hinauf und weinen, und auf dem Wege nach Horonajim erhebt sich ein Jammergeschrei.

<br /><span class="verse" id="6">6 </span>Denn die Wasser von Nimrim versiegen, daß das Gras verdorrt und das Kraut verwelkt und kein Grünes wächst.
|
|||
|
|
<br /><span class="verse" id="7">7 </span>Darum führen sie das Gut, das sie gesammelt, und alles, was sie verwahrt haben, über den Weidenbach.
|
|||
|
|
<br /><span class="verse" id="8">8 </span>Geschrei geht um in den Grenzen Moabs, Geheul bis Eglajim und Geheul bis Beer-Elim!
|
|||
|
|
<br /><span class="verse" id="9">9 </span>Denn die Wasser von Dimon sind voll Blut. Dazu will ich über Dimon noch mehr Unheil kommen lassen, Löwen über die Entronnenen Moabs und über die Übriggebliebenen im Lande. </p> <!--... sharper than any twoedged sword... -->
